Purpose of the Site

This is an independent reference site. It does not store official records, confirm whether anyone is in custody, release a person, submit a records request, or file papers with a court or agency.

Its pages point toward Butler County inmate and jail-record resources, Ohio corrections systems, and outside research tools. Government offices and third-party providers remain responsible for their own information and services.

Acceptable Use Rules

Use of the site must remain lawful and must not interfere with the service or the rights and safety of others.

• Do not use the site while violating any law.
• Do not use information to stalk, harass, intimidate, or threaten anyone.
• Do not base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on site content.
• Do not seek access to accounts, systems, or data without authorization.
• Do not operate bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools.
• Do not impair the site's operation or another visitor's access.

Fair Credit Reporting Act

Butler County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It provides no background check, credit report, consumer report, or screening service. Its advertising partners do not offer such services through this site. By using the site, you agree not to use its information for an FCRA-covered purpose, including:

• Deciding whether to hire, retain, or dismiss a person.
• Evaluating a tenant or housing applicant.
• Setting creditworthiness, lending terms, or insurance premiums.
• Determining eligibility for a license, permit, or government program.
• Making any other decision regulated by the FCRA.

Resources Beyond Our Control

Links may lead to release records, sheriff and corrections sites, government portals, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. A link does not make Butler County Released Inmates responsible for the destination's content, privacy practices, data handling, availability, or security. Review the destination's terms before using it.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made regarding:

• The accuracy, completeness, or current state of information.
• Continuous or uninterrupted access.

Custody status and public records can change at any time. Nothing published here is an official statement from the Butler County Sheriff's Office, ODRC, a court, or another government agency.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, liabilities, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the site or your breach of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Butler County Released Inmates or its content partners. Unless written permission is granted, you may not reproduce, distribute, publish, adapt, or modify those materials.

Suspending Site Access

Access may be restricted, suspended, or ended at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

Ohio Law Applies

Ohio law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be filed in a court located within Ohio that has proper jurisdiction.

If One Term Is Invalid

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay effective. The affected provision will be limited or adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
